When I was 17 a few months before my birthday, I got a part time job working in the pharmacy. I thought that becoming 18 was a big turning point in my life, so I wanted to get myself something nice. Therefore, I saved almost 80% of my paychecks for those few months and I ended up getting the bag way before my birthday. 

At the time I had to choose between this Saleya bag and the Speedy bag. The speedy bag was very popular for girls around my age group, but I wanted something different. So, I choose the Saleya. I like the Saleya because I can use it as a top handle bag, let it hang on my elbow, and use it as a shoulder bag. Unfortunately, they no longer make this bag. Now I think about it, I feel that I made a good choice. I enjoyed this bag very much and I used it in a daily basis. Fortunately, it is still in good condition considering how often I used it.

Chanel Obsession

This is my first Chanel bag, and my Chanel obsession started with this Chanel Sling bag from the photos below. Until I got this bag, I didn't know what other women are raving about Chanel. Now I know it's truly the ultimate classic bag a woman could wish for. It's elegant, classy, so easy to match with anything, and it will never go out of style.

Since I was young I always dream of having a Chanel bag, but I always put off on buying one because of how expensive it is. For my first luxury bag, instead of Chanel I put my hard earn money on a Louis Vuitton When I turned 18. (That is another story for another day.) I can only wish that I should of bought it back then.  The price of the Chanel bag I want is almost double now compare to a few years ago. For the price they sell in the Chanel Boutique and the decreasing quality of their leather and craftsmanship, I am not sure if I will ever want to pay that much for it. (That is just my opinion.) 

That being said, I went for a Preloved Vintage Chanel because it is much more affordable to me. Other than it's more affordable, I do think the quality is much better; the caviar leather is shinier and softer than the caviar leather they produce now, the craftsmanship (this bag is over 15 years old!) and the 22k/24k gold plated hardware they no longer produce. 

So, what do you think? Would you go for a Vintage or would you still prefer the Chanel Boutique experience? 

Miu Miu Handbags

I was obsessed with Miu Miu for a while until recently...  I had to sell my pervinca Miu Miu to support my love for Chanel. I sold the pervinca one because of the glazed leather material, and decided to keep the dark brown one (I love the brown Miu Miu's leather). Would you have make the same choice as I would?
